Spieltreff für Pflege- und Adoptivfamilien mit Säuglingen und Kleinkindern

Our playgroup is for foster and adoptive families with infants and toddlers. It offers a safe space for sharing, networking, and mutual support—regardless of whether the child has recently joined the family or has been part of it for some time.

In a relaxed atmosphere, you can make new connections, share experiences, and discuss questions about everyday family life. The group is led by an experienced adoptive and foster mother who is also active with OKAPI (Open Cologne Adoptive and Foster Family Initiative).

In addition to topics related to the development of babies and toddlers, the group also focuses on the unique challenges and issues faced by foster and adoptive families. At the same time, children can enjoy age-appropriate play and craft activities that provide space for discovery, experimentation, and shared experiences. The playgroup encourages interaction with other families in similar life situations and offers valuable information as well as practical support for everyday life.

Time is set aside for a shared midday snack. Please bring a healthy, well-filled lunchbox for yourselves and your children.

We currently have funding available that allows us to provide childcare assistance to the course leaders, relieving you as parents of this burden at no additional cost. In the event of last-minute needs, the course leaders rely on the cooperation of the parents.

New families are always welcome— you can join at any time.
