Stoned Jesus w/ special guests: Dopelord & The Abbey

Stoned Jesus is a stoner metal band fronted by guitarist Igor Sydorenko. The band currently consists of Igor Sydorenko on guitar, Serhij Sljussar on bass and Wiktor Kondratow on drums and has already refined and perfected its style on seven albums. They play stoner / doom metal, which is characterized by heavier guitar riffs and a more brutal sound compared to stoner rock. The lyrics are usually very emotional and often attract attention in relation to the occult in connection with the music. With their new album Father Light, the band celebrated their debut in 2023 on the renowned label Season Of Mist.

Stoned Jesus will be supported in Leipzig by Dopelord, a Polish stoner/doom band from 2010. The band released their debut album Magick Rites in 2012, followed by Black Arts, Riff Worship & Weed Cult in 2014. Their biggest inspirations are old movies, 70s music and magical herbs. They tune low and play slow. Dopelord is considered one of the most important bands of the doom/stoner metal scene in Poland.

In reference to Aleister Crowley, Jesse Heikkinen, a veteran of the Finnish music scene and solo artist under the banner of Iterum Nata, named his latest musical project The Abbey. Heikkinen and co-lead vocalist Natalie Koskinen (Shape of Despair) drew lyrical inspiration from esoteric organizations, their beliefs and their own practices, interweaving ritualistic stories from the darkest corners of themselves with music. The result is the mystical Word of Sin, The Abbey's nine-song debut long-player from 2023, which combines doom metal with progressive elements and psychedelic rock influences.
