On July 29, 2026, we will open a space for cultural exchange with Rasu Yawanawá and his family from the Brazilian Amazon at Ventana in Cologne Sülz.

TR|BE ✦ N|GHT is an evening in the middle of the week to connect and celebrate life. Arriving in the body, in the voice, in the circle, in community. An evening that touches, connects and moves and the beginning of a new era of conscious celebration in Cologne.

The evening is illuminated by the light of the buck moon: the full moon of July reaches its peak at 16:36, exactly at the beginning of our evening. Traditionally a time of growth, new beginnings and renewal. No coincidence. An invitation.

✦ RASU YAWANAWÁ & FAMILIA | Voices of the Jungle

For the first time in Cologne & Europe: Pekã Rasu Yawanawá travels with his family from the Brazilian Amazon. As the grandson of the late great shaman Tata Txanu Natasheini and chief of the village of Mutum, Rasu carries the spiritual and cultural heritage of his people into the world. Through song, presence and a deep connection with the knowledge of the jungle.

At the age of 17, he was the youngest Yawanawá to complete the highest spiritual initiation of his people: the Muka, a disciplined annual diet. Today he is an internationally recognized multi-instrumentalist, composer and cultural ambassador. His work Kairau Saitĩ combines traditional Yawanawá chants with electronic music, a bridge between worlds and generations.

On this evening we will experience together the Saitis, traditional healing songs of the Yawanawá, which create a connection between man, nature & spirit. Carried by Rasu, his sister Matsa, his wife Turuyume and his brother Anihu. Four voices from one of the oldest spiritual lineages of the Amazon. In an intimate and powerful setting. Not a concert in the classical sense. An encounter.

The Yawanawá are guardians of 200,000 hectares of rainforest in the Brazilian state of Acre. Despite colonization, rubber exploitation and missionary oppression, they have kept their language, spirituality and culture alive and now number over 1,000 people.

✦ DJ BOMBYE - Ecstatic Dance Cologne

DJ Bombye, known from the ecstatic dance scene in Cologne, will then take over. His set combines ethno, global beats and world music into a journey for free expressive dance. There is no right or wrong, just dance what moves you at that moment. At the end of the musical journey, we arrive together in the closing circle and integrate the evening.
