TrotzdemTanzen – Performance von pulk fiktion für Taubes und Hörendes Publikum ab 8 Jahren
In the organizer's words:
The world is complicated and harsh. It’s hard to be young and light in it, and even harder to grow up to be big and strong. But the hardest thing of all is to be big and become light. In pulk fiktion’s new performance, the theater space becomes a training ground for greater lightness: Amid soft mats and heavy protective gear, two performers defy melancholy, overload, and overwhelming demands. Two bodies test their resilience in the here and now. The performers tell stories about the world, work together to counteract societal forces, and create something we all need: the courage to persevere despite it all!
In 2025, pulk fiktion was awarded the George Tabori Prize for its work in theater for young audiences. This is a major recognition of their work, as the prize is Germany’s most prestigious award for independent theater. For“TrotzdemTanzen,”pulk fiktion is collaborating for the first time with the Deaf performer Pia Katharina Jendreizik and the Deaf coach and choreographer Dodzi Dougban. The result is pulk’s first production for both Deaf andhearing audiences. Together with performer Sophia Schroth,*TrotzdemTanzen*—directed by Hannah Biedermann and choreographed by Elisabeth Hofmann—celebratesthe powerof bodiesinterpreted through a feminine lens.
