Doppel-Performance “Non-Violent Bodies” und “East German Fragilities” von Karol Filo und Mike Dele Dittrich Frydetzki
In the organizer's words:
Two solo performances, two young perspectives, two explorations of East Germany and Eastern Europe in the 1990s: Karol Filo looks back at the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the 1990s. The brutality of far-right skinheads clashes with waves of antifascist counter-violence. The Slovak-born theater and video artist examines this era and relates it to the ideal of nonviolence.
Mike Dele Dittrich Frydetzki becomes Maik: the village boy, the little coward, the half-measure. In a semi-fictional encounter with his own past, Mike asks what it might have meant to grow up as a white boy in East Germany in the 1990s. In a queer self-portrayal that oscillates between a sense of powerlessness and threatening gestures, Mike asserts a different perspective.
