»Von Aufbrüchen & Anfängen« Franziska Hauser & Annette Selg treffen Lena Gorelik
In the organizer's words:
Moderator: Katrin Lange
Two women, two stages of life, two families—and two new beginnings: In *Am Ende der Kleinigkeiten* (Frankfurter Verlagsanstalt), Franziska Hauser, a 2016 BAS fellow, tells the story of a young woman who must break free from the burdens of her heritage. In her debut, *Das Jahr, bevor ich verschwand* (Schöffling), Anette Selg, a 2023 BAS fellow, portrays a woman in midlife who, on the eve of her long-awaited sabbatical, begins to question everything.
Our guest is Lena Gorelik (“Wer wir sind,” “Alle meine Mütter”), whose novels and essays also revolve around heritage, family, and self-determination. A conversation about writing, new beginnings, and the stories behind the books. Katrin Lange, director of the Bavarian Academy of Writing, will moderate.
Advance ticket sales begin on September 1, 2026, at 10 a.m.
