DIALOGUE THURSDAY: Discussion offer as part of the special exhibition "Sun.Full. Summer in Leipzig"
In societies, fashion serves both as a means of belonging and a means of demarcation. What is considered chic and appropriate has changed dramatically over the centuries. Women's clothing in particular also reveals traditional and evolved structures of oppression and liberation. We take a look at summer fashion and especially swimwear from past centuries and explore trends and boundaries with fashion historian Dr. Ulrike Langbein from the University of Leipzig.
