The Kulturbunker in Mühlheim has a long history. From a shelter during the war to a hotel and warehouse to a restaurant, it has been used in many ways. For over 20 years, however, it has been an important art venue and indispensable for the cultural scene on the right bank of the Rhine.

As a converted high bunker, it offers space for all kinds of art. Theater and music performances, readings and cabaret events take place here regularly. In summer, the beer garden invites you to relax. The first Zusammen Leuchten festival took place in the Kulturbunker, so we have a special connection to this place. Visit the Kulturbunker and experience the diversity of art!

The Kulturbunker in Cologne-Mülheim: Sociocultural center in Cologne's most populous district. Venue for artistic encounters, over 300 events such as concerts, theater and exhibitions. Long-term projects: Cultural education programs, support for local artists:inside, promotion of participation. Foundations: diversity, democracy and the connection of culture . The right side of the Rhine can do something!

MUSEUM NIGHT:

In the Kulturbunker, artists and creative people meet at eye level. The socio-cultural center in the middle of Mülheim stands above all for diversity. Concerts, theater, dance, performances, exhibitions, film screenings, readings and panel discussions take place here, as well as long-term projects in the field of cultural education, support for artists and urban society participation. Here one is firmly convinced: Democracy needs culture!

"Patrizia Casagranda // Fighting for Change"

Patrizia Casagranda deals with the major global issues of our time. Her collage-like works on recycled everyday materials, such as truck tarpaulins, jute sacks and cardboard boxes, are permeated by quite a few red threads - themes such as women, equality, strength, justice, tolerance and the fascination of opposites constantly recur. It's all about beauty and strength, thwarted by the harsh realities of life - icons like women garbage collectors captivate with their special look and expression. The graduate designer uses typographic fragments as an essential stylistic device. Her multi-layered works impress especially by their distant effect, while in the close-up view almost abstractly the grid point and the strong structures come into focus as a central, creative element.
