Answers to these questions can be found in the 60 or so songs by singer and lyricist Andreas Lambert on well-known and lesser-known jazz standards, pop and folk songs as well as bossa nova classics by George Gershwin, Antônio Carlos Jobim, Pat Metheny, Abbey Lincoln, Elvis Costello, Bob Dylan and many others.
The new German lyrics are about playing doctor and spin the bottle, children screaming in the moonlight, Kölle in spring, whores in the dim light, childhood memories, old people's homes, bullying, longing, war and peace, midlife crisis, dream woman, the mysticism of eternal change, fidelity, infidelity and runaway cats, in short about life and the experiences and memories associated with it.
With Gregor Wilmes on guitar and Martin Lorber on double bass (and, depending on the performance, also with a drummer), the trio performs and interprets their favorite songs across genres with acoustic, jazzy, playful and airy arrangements.
