The JAZZFESTIVAL FREIBURG is jointly organized by E-WERK Freiburg e.V. and Jazzhaus Freiburg and has become an important meeting place for the international jazz scene. With its mixture of well-known jazz greats, new discoveries from the European music scene and local themes from Freiburg and Baden-Württemberg, it offers a hand-picked program with many surprises.

From September 19-27, 2026, the JAZZFESTIVAL FREIBURG 2026 will once again show how diverse, lively and surprising jazz can sound today. In this edition, E-WERK Freiburg and jazzhaus Freiburg present outstanding highlights that impressively demonstrate the stylistic range of the festival.

The JAZZFESTIVAL FREIBURG is funded by the city of Freiburg and the state of Baden-Württemberg and sponsored by Sparkasse Freiburg - Nördlicher Breisgau and the Ganter brewery. The piano competition in 2026 is kindly supported by Haufe-Lexware, Sparkasse Freiburg and the Volker Homann Foundation.
