Auferstehung - Mahlers Zweite
In the organizer's words:
Gustav Mahler’s Second Symphony, known as the “Resurrection Symphony,” addresses nothing less than the great questions of human existence: death, hope, and renewal. The scale of this five-movement work is correspondingly vast, culminating in the chorus’s words—initially almost inaudible and ultimately furious—“Aufersteh’n, ja aufersteh’n” (“Rise, yes, rise”). The evening will be conducted by Robin Ticciati, known for his clear approach and the emotional power of his interpretations.
