Tänzerisch - Dvořák & Prokofjew
In the organizer's words:
Experience one of the greatest violinists of our time: James Ehnes, celebrated for his remarkable virtuosity and profound musicality. The Canadian musician will perform Dvořák’s Violin Concerto, which combines Romanticism and Bohemian folk music in perfect balance. Zoltán Kodály’s “Dances of Galánta,” with their fiery Hungarian spirit, are a kindred work. The program, conducted by the Slovak conductor Juraj Valčuha, is rounded out by Prokofiev’s final symphony, in which melancholic depth and powerful drama merge into an unforgettable sonic panorama—music guaranteed to give you goosebumps.
