Monumental - Wagner & Bruckner
In the organizer's words:
When Marek Janowski conducts Bruckner, the concert hall is transformed into a place of musical revelation. Few conductors of our time have devoted themselves so uncompromisingly to the symphonic repertoire. The focus is on Bruckner’s Ninth, the unfinished final symphony by the Austrian late-Romantic composer—a legacy of compelling energy. It culminates in an Adagio that offers a glimpse of distant worlds. The perfect complement to this is Richard Wagner’s “Siegfried Idyll,” which Bruckner also admired. Wagner’s music looks inward and moves the listener with its exquisite sound.
