Black River Delta | LIVE

Black River Delta, the blues rock trio from Bollnäs, Sweden, has made a name for itself since its inception with a raw and soulful sound deeply rooted in the Swedish forests of Hälsingland.

Growing up among pine trees, gravel roads and long winters, their music carries a unique blend of gloom, melancholy and drive - where influences from blues legends meet modern rock. The band previously released the acclaimed albums Devil on the Loose (2016), VOL II. (2018) and "Shakin'" (2021), shaping their sound with influences ranging from Robert Johnson and R.L. Burnside to contemporary acts like The Black Keys, Gary Clark Jr. and BRMC.

Rather than looking to American landscapes, Black River Delta take inspiration from what's closest to them - the surrounding woods, the roads along the E4 and the constant tension between wanting to leave and wanting to stay.

Later this year, the band will release their new album via Despotz Records. On the upcoming album, they return to their roots and deepen their sound further - where modern rock meets classic blues, filtered through a Nordic melancholy where silence, darkness and loneliness carry as much weight as the music itself.
