Tony Lakatos and Martin Sasse have long been integral figures in the German jazz scene—and beyond. Their résumés include concerts and recordings with greats such as Al Foster, Steve Grossman, Sting, Adam Nussbaum, Art Farmer, Kenny Werner, the hr Big Band, and many others. The two are bound by a long-standing and deep musical friendship. With great enthusiasm, they perform their own compositions and pieces from the “American Songbook.” The quartet is rounded out by Martin Gjakonovski on double bass and Hendrik Smock on drums.
