“Where the Clouds Meet” is a novel about two men who, at first glance, seem very different, and one question: Does happiness only find us when we stop trying to be someone else? Christoph Kramer’s second book is a sensitive portrait of what lies only between the lines—but what truly defines our lives.

Fall 2024: Christoph Kramer’s time at Borussia Mönchengladbach comes to an end. To escape the looming emptiness, he writes his first book, *Life Began in the Summer*. After its publication, Chris meets Roman in a bookstore—a young man who pays for his book with counted coins and whose fate continues to haunt him.

It is the story of a shock on New Year’s Eve 2000 that shatters Roman’s world forever. It is the search for the mysterious “J” and the escape to the “Cloud Touchpoint”—that old mast where, together with his best friend Steve, he feels close to the sky, shouting wishes out into the world.

A story about the quiet longing for Mira and about two lives that couldn’t be more different: on one hand, the world champion; on the other, the boy who never had a home. Melancholic, honest, and deeply moving.
