Composers Collective Cologne – Amsterdam Edition

The Cologne scene for improvised and contemporary music has great creative potential. The protagonists are characterized by their innovative strength and cooperative working methods. The Composers Collective Cologne was founded on this basis: an ensemble with a changing line-up that transcends musical and spatial boundaries and offers individual voices a platform for new compositions and comprehensive sound research. The organizers of the first two editions of the project initiated in 2024 with the support of Stadtgarten Köln, Felix Hauptmann, Fabian Dudek and Esther Weickel, are pursuing the goal of creating an ensemble that breaks new ground together in a flexible and visionary way. While the first edition focused on the Cologne scene, the second, called "Amsterdam Edition", is dedicated to networking with some musicians from the Dutch scene. The exchange creates a field of tension that sets new impulses in an open and risk-taking way.
