COLOGNE CLUB DAY 2026 – Conference Day

This year, we’re once again hosting a conference to discuss current issues in club culture and further our knowledge. The focus will be on how we can maintain a diverse, vibrant, and safe club and live music scene in Cologne in the future, and what political conditions are necessary to achieve this.

Cologne’s clubs are not only stages for newcomers and headliners, but also key locations and spaces for social participation, exchange, and respite from everyday life. Clubs and event organizers are under enormous economic, structural, and political pressure, and the very existence of some venues is acutely threatened. The CCD Conference Day brings together exactly the people who can tackle these challenges together: politicians, government officials, club operators, and event organizers. Club-goers are also warmly invited to attend Conference Day and join the discussion, because they are what make these places what they are: vibrant, diverse, and progressive.

The day will feature three panel discussions addressing the following topics:

1. The Shift to the Right and the Threat to Artistic Freedom
2. 2027 North Rhine-Westphalia State Elections – Cultural Policy Positions (presented by PopBoard NRW)
3. The “Club Euro” Solidarity Fund (presented by Club Euro)

Following the panel discussions, the evening will be open for personal exchange: A concert will set the right atmosphere to continue the discussions, make new connections, and strengthen existing networks between politics, administration, and the club scene.
