COLOGNE CLUB DAY 2026 – Conference Day

This year, we once again want to come together at a conference to learn about and discuss current issues in club culture. The focus will be on how Cologne can continue to maintain a diverse, vibrant, and safe club and live music scene in the future, and what political conditions are necessary to make that happen.

Cologne’s clubs are not only stages for newcomers and headliners, but also key locations and spaces for social participation, exchange, and respite from daily life. Clubs and event organizers are under enormous economic, structural, and political pressure, and many of their very existences are at risk. The CCD Conference Day therefore brings together exactly the people who can tackle these challenges together: politicians, government officials, club operators, and event organizers. Club guests are also warmly invited to attend Conference Day and join the discussion, because they are the ones who make these places what they are: vibrant, diverse, and progressive.

The day will feature three panel discussions addressing the following topics:

1. 2027 State Elections in North Rhine-Westphalia – Cultural Policy Demands (presented by PopBoard NRW)
2. The Shift to the Right and the Threat to Artistic Freedom
3. The “Club Euro” Solidarity Fund (presented by Club Euro)

Following the panels, the evening will be open for personal exchange: A concert will set the right atmosphere to continue the discussions, make new connections, and strengthen existing networks between politics, administration, and the club scene.
