European wildcat. Well hidden during the day, moving on silent paws at night
, it is a hidden inhabitant of our forests. Although it

Originally, the wildcat was native to many regions of Germany. But
the loss of near-natural, structurally rich forests has severely
reduced. Today, BUND, together with numerous
partners to restore and
connect them so that the wildcat can expand its range again in the long term.
In this presentation, you’ll learn fascinating facts about the wildcat’s way of life,
its habitat requirements, and the challenges it
faces. You’ll also learn about specific conservation projects and how
you, too, can help protect this fascinating species.
