Thijs Lodewijk (1973), known asLUDOWIC, is a Dutch musician, composer, and multidisciplinary artist whose work bridges the gap between experimental electronic music, forgotten instruments, visual art, and sound architecture. Born in Venlo and raised in Dongen, he grew up in a household where music and visual expression were inextricably linked. His father’s musicality and his mother’s visual sensibility laid the foundation for a dual artistic identity that he continues to explore to this day. After being accepted to both art school and the conservatory, he chose to study music at the Codarts Conservatory in Rotterdam—a decision that laid the foundation for his hybrid practice.

LUDOWIChas already performed at renowned venues and festivals, including the Concertgebouw, Funkhaus Berlin, the Eye Filmmuseum, ADE, the Artonov Festival, and November Music. His concerts combine immersive sound with visual sensibility and emphasize the physicality of analog instruments. His online presence continues to grow rapidly, with a large fan base drawn to his demonstrations of rare instruments and his expressive performance style.
