ICARUS is a choreographic solo about ascent, hubris and fall.
Based on the myth of Icarus, Matteo Carvone explores the human urge to transcend boundaries - blinded by the desire to fly ever closer to the sun.the body enters a state of permanent tension: it stretches, oscillates, risks falling.
But who will dance when we are extinct?
What will remain of our dances?
Between archaic power and radical fragility, a flight emerges that is both liberation and threat - a last dance in the awareness of its own finiteness.
On 21.05. there will be an audience discussion following the performance.
