Newroz / Nowruz im Kulturbunker Mülheim

Newroz is just around the corner - a celebration of new beginnings, hope and coming together

Especially in difficult times like the ones we are currently experiencing, it is more important than ever to come together and live in community. We do not celebrate Newroz out of nostalgia, but because culture unites, carries hope and lives on. Creating spaces for encounters and sharing solidarity gives us strength - and that is exactly what this day is all about.

The Kulturbunker and korsi invite you to the Kulturbunker Mülheim on March 21 from 3 pm for a joint Newroz festival.

You can expect:

• Children's program with Newroz stories and handicrafts
• Photo exhibition
• Newroz bazaar
• Reading and panel talk: KANAX4LIFE
• Live concerts: Dodan, Azizam, Volkan Karacay and more
• DJ sets: Monita, Scherwin, Shams and more
• Fire dance
• Finger food, Çay and special drinks
• Kurdish specialties from Café Tore

Part of the proceeds will go to the Initiative Frieden und Hoffnung e.V.

The Peace and Hope Initiative initiates projects that help people in need in the Near and Middle East - regardless of cultural or religious identity. In particular, the association supports children and families suffering from the consequences of war and violence.

The Newroz festival is a place for everyone who treats each other with respect and appreciation. Discriminatory, inhuman or violent statements and actions are not tolerated.

Newroz" refers to all spellings and cultural variants of this festival (including Newroz, Nowruz, Nawruz, Norooz, Novruz, Nevruz, Navruz, Nouruz or Nauruz).
