LOMA REQS // SOMMERKONZERT

LOMA REQS is a daring collision of modern Kurdish poetry, electronic music, improvisation, rap and traditional singing. From ironic feminist wedding songs to relentless reflections on national oppression and colonialism, the band pushes the boundaries of expression.

Formed by Kurdish singer-songwriter Hêja Netirk and Colombian composer and producer Rico Danta, LOMA REQS has created a sound that is both ancient and futuristic. Hêja's penetrating voice, rooted in Kurdish tradition, combines with Danta's beats and synthesizers to create a sound language that tells of survival and resilience - and transforms struggle into rhythm, memory into music.

With the driving drums of Profesoro Eray Çaylı and electrified bağlama solos by Said'ê Tembûrvan, LOMA REQS presents itself with the confidence of a band that sounds like it has been shaping the future of music for decades.
