Times may change (and us), but universal themes and their impact on audiences remain the same. Just over ten years ago, the adaptation of Albert Espinosa's autobiographical novel moved millions of viewers to tears and brought its makers a veritable shower of awards (including the International Emmy, Bavarian and German Television Awards and the Grimme Prize). Now it's a new era, a new club: the team around director Felix Binder and director Aki Wegner is not only relying on the fresh script expertise of head writer Adrian Spring ("Superior") and Kirsten Loose ("Habibi Baba Boom", "Souls"), but also on up-and-coming actors in the cast and problem areas adapted to the current zeitgeist. The red ribbon club, which five teenagers with varying degrees of illness form in the hospital wing to support each other, remains the same: Nora (Mariama Jobe), Charlie (Greta Krämer), Yannik (Yoran Leicher), Elias (Voicu Dumitras) and Philip (Jona Levin Nicolai). A new generation to inspire and comfort a new generation. And for a new "Never give up!"
