(Nicht-).Wohnen. (Nicht-).Teilhaben. – Dialogreihe zur Überwindung der Wohnungslosigkeit bis 2030

Housing and homelessness are the most visible forms of poverty in our society. At the same time, issues of safety, the use and appropriation of public spaces, and the respective roles of social work and law enforcement agencies are increasingly the subject of heated debate. In the process, the needs and perspectives of people experiencing homelessness are often overlooked. 

As part of the event series “(Non-)Housing. (Non-)Participation. Düsseldorf Perspectives—A Dialogue Series on Overcoming Homelessness by 2030,” we would like to bring together and discuss different points of view. 

With keynote presentations by Dr. Tim Lukas (Bergische University of Wuppertal) and Julia von Lindern (Executive Director of the Federal Association Housing First Germany), the session will examine spaces of fear, vulnerability, and the treatment of people without housing and the homeless in urban areas, as well as the social and professional mission of social work. Following the presentations, the speakers will join the audience in a discussion about challenges, potential conflicts of interest, and possible solutions on the path toward ending homelessness.
