In recent years, private investors have also become increasingly interested in private markets. Investments are made there, for example, via private equity funds that buy shares in companies that are not traded on the stock exchange. Another example is private debt funds, which grant loans without using banks, or infrastructure funds that invest in large projects. High returns are often expected for such investments, but they are also risky. The presentation by Prof. Dr. Christoph Börner (Heinrich Heine University) will highlight investment opportunities as well as chances and challenges.
