Chrysoula died in 1887 at the age of 17 and was buried in a village near Istanbul. 37 years later, her family left the village and moved to Greece as part of the population exchange. 100 years later, the director's family, who lived in her house, found Chrysoula's gravestone during repair work. The discovery of the stone in 2016 marks the beginning of a search that will end in Thessaloniki in 2022. The documentary connects people in Turkey and Greece, explores historical ruptures and arrives at new perspectives.
