UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE (Dir.: Thato R. Mwosa | USA 2025; Original with English subtitles | DCP | 14 min.)
Salima, a 15-year-old ballet dancer, accidentally discovers that she is intersex. To cope with this realization, she escapes in *FROM MALE AND FEMALE* into a fantasy world where the mythical creature Buraq accompanies her on a journey during which she discovers her true identity. TAXI MOTO tells the story of a filmmaker who wants to shoot a queer romance film about two men in his home country. Because he is denied a filming permit due to the subject matter, he must abandon the project and reinvent it in a different location. OBI IS A BOY: Obi is unexpectedly called home following his mother’s sudden death. As a gender-nonconforming person, Obi has long been convinced that true freedom is only possible by building a life far from home. As the tech boom increasingly transforms their hometown of San Francisco and drives up the cost of living, a group of friends in RAINBOW GIRLS decides to take matters into their own hands. With a plan as bold as it is risky, they set their sights on the city’s most exclusive luxury brands and launch a spectacular series of heists. UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: When a transgender African salon owner in Boston has her asylum application denied, she must make a decision: either give up the life she has built for herself, or stay and risk deportation to a country where her identity could cost her her life. In *WE MUST BEGIN AGAIN TOGETHER*, when a woman learns that her husband is having an affair with her brother, the double betrayal in a conservative small town forces her down an unexpected path between secrets and compassion.
