When Tinie Tempah released his debut album “Disc-Overy” in 2010, he quickly rose to become one of the biggest breakthrough artists in the British music scene. With multi-platinum singles such as the two No. 1 hits “Pass Out” and “Written in the Stars” featuring Eric Turner, as well as “Frisky” featuring Labrinth and “Miami 2 Ibiza” vs. Swedish House Mafia, Tinie Tempah dominated the British charts that same year and also made his international breakthrough. Between 2010 and 2013, Tinie Tempah also swept up numerous awards. Most notably, he won two BRIT Awards out of four nominations, four MOBO Awards out of a total of ten nominations, one BET Award, and many other notable prizes. By 2015, Tinie Tempah had celebrated six No. 1 hits on the British charts—a feat no other UK rapper had achieved before. In addition, he toured several times in the 2010s as a headliner and as an opening act for Rihanna, Usher, and The Script. Collaborations with artists such as Chase & Status, Rita Ora, Wiz Khalifa, Calvin Harris, Wizkid, and Martin Garrix, among others, further solidified his position in the music world and led to additional hits on a global scale. Tinie Tempah recently performed at the BST Hyde Park Festival in London. Now the rapper is announcing his “The Night’s Not Dead” tour, which will also bring him to Cologne and Berlin in late November. 

As early as 2004, Patrick Chuckwuemeka Okogwu joined Aftershock Hooligans and released his first mixtape with the crew. Initially firmly rooted in grime, he made his solo debut in 2006 under his stage name Tinie Tempah with the track “Wifey,” which quickly became a full-fledged underground hit. Further singles led the rapper to sign with Parlophone, which ultimately propelled Tinie Tempah’s career to new heights. Following his international breakthrough with his debut album, the track “Written In The Stars” took him all the way to the stage at the closing ceremony of the Summer Olympics in London in 2012. His second album, “Demonstration,” followed in 2013, marking his first entry into the charts in Germany. Since then, Tinie Tempah has celebrated further Top 5 hits with tracks like “Trampoline” feat. 2 Chainz, “Not Letting Go” featuring Jesse Glynne (2015), and “Girls Like” featuring Zara Larsson (2017) from his album “YOUTH.” In the years that followed, he continued to release new music. On his latest single, “Living Life,” Tinie Tempah collaborates with Daecolm and incorporates influences from Afrobeats, pop, grime, and rap.
