ÜBERJAZZ Festival 2024 - präsentiert von Rausgegangen

Hamburg's popular post-genre festival will once again take place at Kampnagel in 2024 and present a wide range of artists beyond the usual musical categories. Under the motto cutting edge music beyond genre, the ÜBERJAZZ Festival spins new threads through the wide field of music of our time that can no longer be clearly categorized stylistically.

Over two days, 21 artists play beyond the usual categories in three Kampnagel halls, between which the audience can move freely. Among others with: British trumpeter Matthew Halsall, who is celebrating the 15th anniversary of his label Gondwana Records with one of his best albums to date; saxophonist and spoken word poet Alabaster DePlume, who is finally making his Hamburg debut; Erobique, whose vacation in Kumasi led to a collaboration with the Frafra gospel queen Florence Adooni, who is based there; MPB legend Joyce from Brazil, as well as her grandchildren in the spirit of Bala Desejo; the Munich label Squama Records, which is associated with the band Fazer and will be presenting a cross-section of its roster on two evenings with Enji, Popp, Zylva and others.Eddie Chacon and John Carroll Kirby, who are returning to ÜBERJAZZ from LA; and Max Herre, whose name initially leads you on the wrong track, but who will be presenting his joint project with Roberto Di Gioia's band WEB WEB at ÜBERJAZZ - and once again expanding the genre-bending ÜBERJAZZ universe.
