From July 2 to 5, feeLit - International Literature Festival Heidelberg and its authors will be making a guest appearance at halle02 for the second time. Our festival venue is all about books and writing. This year, feeLit presents national and international literary stars and brings authors together with their audience.

Jean-Philippe Kindler is one of the most incisive young voices of a politically aware present. In "Scheiß auf Selflove, gib mir Klassenkampf" he criticizes a society that makes social problems the responsibility of the individual - and asks how a good life for all can once again become politically conceivable. In his novel "Hier ist der Beginn und das Ende ist dort", he takes this question further in literary terms: in a near future between election campaigns, grief, right-wing violence and fragile closeness, his characters search for stability in a world that is becoming increasingly cold. At feeLit., Kindler talks about class issues, loss, responsibility and why the private sphere is always political.

Jean-Philippe Kindler, born in Duisburg, is a satirist and political thought leader. Kindler has received many awards for his stage programs, including the Prix Pantheon and the German Cabaret Prize. He is co-founder of the left-wing podcast collective Studio Rot and works as a consultant for Die Linke. His Spiegel bestseller Scheiß auf Selflove, gib mir Klassenkampf was published in 2023. Jean-Philippe Kindler lives in Hamburg.
