The Office for Culture and Community Development serves as a partner that supports, develops, and plans initiatives for the associations, cultural and educational institutions, church congregations, organizations, and citizens’ initiatives active in Neubiberg.

The Office of Culture organizes an extensive program of cultural events and activities for nearly all age groups, oversees the Neubiberg Volunteer Exchange, and is responsible for issues related to integration and asylum, as well as coordinating assistance for people with disabilities. Together with the Municipal Twinning Association, it oversees the twinning partnership between the municipality of Neubiberg and Ablon-sur-Seine, France.

The Cultural Affairs Office’s departments and branch offices include the municipal archive, the municipal library, the cultural and event center (“Haus für Weiterbildung”), the senior center, and the municipality’s sports center. It works closely with vhs SüdOst, the Neubiberg Music School, the Neubiberg High School, the Munich-Land District Youth Association, and the secondary schools.
