Highly praised by the press and adored by audiences, Christina Lux has been performing since the 1990s with her subtle music, clear and profound lyrics, and her magnificent voice that gets right under your skin. There’s nothing superficial about her. Definitely worth checking out.
During her concerts, she speaks with great humor and depth about the thoughts behind her songs, drawing listeners into her own stories through her poetry and music. She’s an amazing guitarist who also impresses as a soloist with her very unique and groovy style. Since 2018, she’s been touring with multi-instrumentalist Oliver George on vocals, guitar, and drums. The two of them first shared the stage as teenagers back in the ’80s and reunited in 2017.
Oliver George accompanies the songs with great sensitivity, without overwhelming the delicate intimacy of the stories. His guitar melodies and his feel for groove and sound add special highlights to the music, which moves between pop and soul, jazz, and singer-songwriter music. These are the stories of two musicians who wonderfully succeed in transforming their vast wealth of experiences into vibrant, multifaceted, and original music. Listening to them is a joy, and it touches the soul in a deeply moving way.
Christina Lux has already released 11 albums. In 2018, she released her first album co-written and co-produced with Oliver George, *LEISE BILDER*, which was awarded the German Record Critics’ Prize. The album *LICHTBLICKE* was released in 2021, and the *LivedeLUXe* double album in 2023. Christina Lux has collaborated with Stoppok, Fury in the Slaughterhouse, Purple Schulz, Astrid North, Regy Clasen, Susan Weinert, Laith Al Deen, Edo Zanki, Jon Lord, and many others.
