„Kids Run“ in der Filmreihe „Auf den 2. Blick! Köln im Fokus“ mit Filmgespräch am am 21. November um 20 Uhr im Filmhaus Kino

In the organizer's words:

At the center of Barbara Ott's feature film debut - shot at various locations in Cologne and the surrounding area - is the former amateur boxer Andi (Jannis Niewöhner), a young father of three children and in constant need of money. He works as a temp on a building site. But it's not enough, he can't pay the rent. He shares custody with Sonja, his ex-girlfriend and mother of his youngest daughter, and she lends him money. But then she threatens that he won't see his daughter again if he doesn't pay his debts quickly. Andi steps back into the boxing ring to use the prize money to make a fresh start with his children...

"Kids Run" premiered at the Berlinale in February 2020, but the planned cinema release in June 2020 fell victim to the lockdown due to the pandemic. This screening is therefore a unique opportunity to see Barbara Ott's debut on the big screen again.
