"The world is corrupt. So we want to be corrupted too."
Two women without a story, who are the only points of reference for each other's existence. Two women in search of fun, games and food. Two women who fill the screen every minute. Men? - Marginal.
Daisies is about these two anarchic women who throw bourgeois life into chaos, but also about their fabulous complicity, a complicity of women that is rarely seen on screen. This deeply symbolic, surrealist film, liberated from any narrative conventions, celebrates the existence of women. TAUSENDSCHÖNCHEN is one of the central films of the Czechoslovak New Wave and represents one of Věra Chytilová's major works - a cinematic explosion from the 1960s.
