It has been almost 15 years since David Schalko created "Braunschlag", one of the most important Austrian series of recent decades, and established himself as a series creator of distinction. Now comes season two: over a decade ago, Braunschlag was the talk of the town. An alleged Marian apparition drew thousands of tourists to the northern Waldviertel until a nuclear accident made the area inaccessible. Everyone in Braunschlag fled. Except for Mayor Gerri Tschach and disco owner Richard Pfeisinger. Now the air is back in, but somehow it's also out again. But Tschach has an idea: without further ado, he implements a decree according to which the year 1986 reigns in Braunschlag with immediate effect. Nostalgia meets digital detox - Braunschlag is back. And with it, the former residents - first and foremost Tschach's wife Herta.
