Mermaids to Lovers

The new, glittering mermaiding RomCom series "Mermaids to Lovers" is the fourth winning project to emerge from RTL+'s "Storytellers" program for young talent. The project and series concept come from the authors Lia Zebra and Larissa Dold, both from HFF Munich. Olga Alexandra Müller is the director. The charming coming-of-age comedy is about 18-year-old Trixie, who spends her training sessions (and thus large parts of her life) in her grandfather Willy's swimming pool in order to be accepted into the German junior swimming team - but a group of merpeople upsets everything. Suddenly they have to divide up their training times and sparks fly between the ambitious swimmers and the dazzling hobby mermaids. Together with trainer Konstantin and her best friend Nadira, Trixie devises a plan to get rid of the Merpeople as quickly as possible. However, it soon becomes clear that she not only has to defend her territory from the colorful glitter fins, but also her heart from Mermaiding star Finn...
